Mark your calendars! Car Free Day New West is back on Friday, July 25, 2025, ready to transform downtown New Westminster into a lively, walkable celebration along the scenic riverfront.
This free community event invites locals and visitors alike to enjoy an evening packed with live entertainment, delicious food trucks, local vendors, and family-friendly activities—all on streets closed to vehicle traffic.
🎵 Multiple stages will host a mix of performers, filling the air with music as people dance and connect in the heart of the city.
🍔 Food lovers will have plenty to choose from, with a diverse lineup of food trucks serving everything from street eats to sweet treats.
🎨 Kids can enjoy activities like face painting and games, while adults can unwind in a 19+ beer garden featuring local brews.
Originally the Columbia StrEAT Food Festival, this event now offers even more, continuing the Car Free Day tradition seen throughout the Lower Mainland. Since its 2022 debut, Car Free Day New West has become a seasonal favorite, giving residents the chance to reclaim their streets for celebration, creativity, and community.
So bring your walking shoes, your appetite, and your sense of summer fun—it’s time to enjoy New West, car-free!
