Families across Metro Vancouver are invited to spend an afternoon outdoors at the Village Square Family Summer BBQ and Cultural Festival, taking place on Saturday, July 25, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Old Schoolhouse Park in New Westminster.

The free community event promises an afternoon of food, entertainment, and cultural celebration for visitors of all ages. Attendees can enjoy a summer barbecue, live music, and a variety of cultural activities designed to bring neighbours together in a welcoming and family-friendly atmosphere.

Organizers hope the festival will provide an opportunity for residents to celebrate the season, connect with the community, and enjoy an afternoon of fun in one of New Westminster's local parks.

The event will be held at Old Schoolhouse Park, 500 Ewen Avenue, New Westminster, B.C. (V3M 5B5). Free parking will be available for those driving, while the venue is also accessible by public transit, bicycle, and on foot.

Join the Celebration

New Westminster Summer Social will bring together local business owners, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and professionals for an evening of networking on Thursday, July 30, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Inn at the Quay in New Westminster.

Hosted by Tourism New Westminster, the West End Business Association, Uptown Business Association, Sapperton Business Collective, Downtown New West BIA, and the New Westminster Chamber of Commerce, the event aims to strengthen connections across the city's business community.

Guests can enjoy live music, food, drinks, and casual conversation while taking in the riverside setting at the Inn at the Quay. The event is designed to provide opportunities to build new professional relationships, reconnect with familiar faces, and foster collaboration among businesses and community organizations.

The Summer Social will take place at Inn at the Quay, 900 Quayside Drive, New Westminster. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
