Flowers, Sketching & Good Vibes

Spring Into Creativity this May with an inspiring evening of flowers, sketching, and artistic fun at forage & BLOOM in New Westminster.

Hosted in collaboration with talented illustrator Sarah Clement, this cozy 2.5-hour workshop invites guests to slow down, get creative, and explore the beauty of botanical drawing in a warm and welcoming space filled with fresh blooms.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of sketching flowers from observation through guided exercises designed for all skill levels — whether you’re a beginner or simply looking to reconnect with your creative side. The evening also includes refreshments, all art supplies, and a special takeaway: your own bouquet of flowers to bring home. 💐

With limited spots available, this intimate workshop offers the perfect chance to unwind, meet fellow creatives, and spend an uplifting evening surrounded by nature and inspiration.

Looking to get involved in New Westminster’s arts community this summer? Arts New West is now recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to help support a variety of creative programs and community events throughout June, July, and August.

Volunteer opportunities include assisting at the upcoming Indigenous Market on June 6, supporting visitors at the Gallery at Queen’s Park, helping with Poetry in the Park, and assisting workshop leaders during community arts programming.

From event setup and guest support to learning about local artists and exhibitions, volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with the community while helping bring vibrant cultural experiences to life across the city.

Arts New West says the program is a great fit for anyone passionate about creativity, community engagement, and supporting local arts initiatives in a fun and welcoming environment.
