The holiday season is arriving in full sparkle, and New West Craft is bringing the magic back to River Market with five festive holiday markets this December. It’s the perfect chance to shop local, support independent makers, and soak up those cozy winter vibes along the river.

On December 6, 13, 14, 20, and 21, more than 25 local artisans will fill River Market with handcrafted treasures—everything from jewelry, ceramics, and textiles to sweet treats, art prints, and one-of-a-kind gift ideas you won’t find anywhere else. Families can also enjoy free holiday art workshops and live seasonal music, making this a full experience, not just a shopping trip.

Wander the market, sip something warm from your favourite Quay café, browse the shops, and take in the twinkling boardwalk atmosphere. It’s one of New Westminster’s most beloved holiday traditions—and the perfect way to keep your gift-giving meaningful and local.

The holiday vibes are officially kicking in at Steel & Oak as their Holiday Market returns for a full weekend of local shopping, good food, and cozy brewery cheer! Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 6 and Sunday, December 7, when the brewery transforms into a festive marketplace featuring 20 talented vendors each day—a joyful mix of returning favourites and fresh new makers.

Wander through the brewery and the outdoor back lot to discover handmade gifts, unique holiday finds, and plenty of treats to fill your stocking (or someone else’s!). While you browse, warm up with a rich hot chocolate—or go for the spiked version to really lean into the season. Canned beers, food truck specials, festive films, photo ops, and a family-friendly craft table add even more holiday sparkle to the experience.

It’s the perfect way to support local, snack well, and spend a merry afternoon soaking up those cozy December vibes.
