Grab your coffee, bring your appetite and get ready to crawl — the Metro Vancouver Croissant Crawl is coming back, and New West has a special treat in the lineup.

From September 25 to October 4, croissant lovers will be able to hop around Metro Vancouver sampling 37 limited-edition creations — and Good Neighbour Caffe is New Westminster’s only stop this year. Their entry? A tempting Apple Crumble Croissant, bringing together the flaky, buttery goodness of a croissant with the cozy flavours of a classic apple crumble.

Now in its fifth year, the 10-day crawl is a self-guided pastry adventure, so there’s no official route to follow. Walk, bike or drive, make a day of it with friends and see how many creative croissants you can conquer. Organizers recommend pre-ordering where available, as walk-in quantities are limited.

This year also brings suggested drink pairings at select vendors, “Taste-Off” challenges, a Most Creative Croissant competition and a chance to vote for the Fan Favourite Flavour. You can even print a crawl passport and collect stamps along the way for a chance to win croissant cash.

But for New West, the mission is deliciously simple: head to Good Neighbour Caffe and try the Apple Crumble Croissant before it disappears.

A new season of singing is about to begin at Trinity Presbyterian Church in New Westminster, and local children ages 5 to 13 are invited to join the fun.

The church’s kids’ choir starts next week, offering young singers a welcoming place to make music, build confidence and share their voices with others.

The choir is directed by Adams Voice Studio, whose students are also part of a wider community of young performers learning and growing through music.

Whether your child already loves to sing or is simply curious to give it a try, the choir is a chance to make new friends and enjoy the joy of singing together.

Parents interested in registering their children or learning more are encouraged to reach out directly to the choir director.
