Celebrate, Dance and Connect at Disco Night

Get ready to hit the dance floor — a vibrant night of music, movement, and community is coming to New Westminster.

On Saturday, April 18, The Terminal Pub will host the city’s only 2SLGBTQIA+ Disco Dance Party, bringing together disco classics, high-energy vibes, and an inclusive space where everyone is welcome.

From 8:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m., guests can dance the night away to a mix of iconic hits — from The Bee Gees to Madonna and Lady Gaga — all curated by MC Trexxt. Alongside the music, attendees can enjoy food, drinks, and a lively atmosphere designed to celebrate connection and self-expression.

More than just a party, the event creates space for the community to come together, celebrate, and simply enjoy a night out where everyone belongs.

New Westminster Police are asking the community to look out for one another — especially when it comes to protecting seniors from scams.

Following a recent spike in fraud cases, police say one resident lost $9,000 after being convinced over the phone that the money was being invested on their behalf. In a separate case the same week, another victim lost $200 in a similar scam.

Officers are encouraging residents to check in with elderly friends and family members and have conversations about how these scams work.

Many of these schemes begin with unsolicited calls or visits, where scammers pose as representatives from financial institutions or government agencies. Police say it’s important to remain cautious and take time to verify any unexpected requests involving money.

Staying informed and sharing that knowledge can make a real difference in preventing others from becoming victims.
