Ask Your Tax Questions Directly to CRA Experts

If tax season feels confusing or overwhelming, help is on the way. A free tax information seminar led by Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) professionals is taking place on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, offering practical guidance for individuals and small business owners.

Running from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, this one-hour session is designed to answer common tax-related questions and provide helpful tools to make tax filing smoother and less stressful. CRA representatives will walk participants through key topics, including business tax deductions, common tax errors to avoid, and general bookkeeping concepts and best practices.

Attendees will also learn about useful CRA tools and services that can save time and reduce mistakes, especially for those managing their own finances or running a small business.

Whether you’re preparing for tax season, starting a business, or simply want a better understanding of how taxes work, this seminar offers a valuable opportunity to learn directly from the experts β€” and ask questions in a supportive setting.

Registration is limited, so interested participants are encouraged to sign up early.

The New Westminster Public Library is launching a free six-week wellness program designed to support people living with chronic conditions in building confidence, resilience, and healthier daily habits.

Starting Thursday, January 8, the program runs for six consecutive Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Main Branch’s iConnect Lab. Through practical tools, shared learning, and supportive discussion, participants will explore ways to better manage their health, stay active, and maintain a fulfilling quality of life.

The program focuses on real-life strategies for overcoming everyday challenges, encouraging positive lifestyle changes, and strengthening motivation and self-management skills. Participants often report feeling more informed, empowered, and optimistic about their well-being.

The program is free to attend, and caregivers and family members are welcome to join. Registration is required and can be completed by email or phone through the library.
