Heritage New West is gearing up to celebrate the season in partnership with the Queen’s Park Healthcare Volunteer Society as they prepare to present one of the community’s most treasured traditions: Homes for the Holidays. This much-loved fundraiser invites residents to step inside beautifully decorated heritage homes, soak in festive inspiration, and support vital long-term care programs—all in one magical evening.

The 2025 tour is set for Sunday, December 7, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., offering a cozy and uplifting experience just as the holiday season begins. Guests can expect warm lights, charming architecture, creative decor, and a chance to give back to the residents of Queen’s Park Care Centre, whose well-being is supported through the event’s proceeds.

With the community’s continued generosity, Homes for the Holidays remains a meaningful celebration of both festive beauty and heartfelt care. More details will be shared soon as organizers prepare another unforgettable holiday tradition.

A festive new addition is hitting the holiday calendar: Have A Holly Jolly Jazzy Christmas, presented by Piva Modern Italian, will take the stage at Anvil Theatre on December 8, 2025. This encore performance brings together the Tom Keenlyside Quartet with featured vocalist Angela Kelman for an evening of smooth seasonal swing and classic Christmas favourites.

The all-star ensemble—featuring Tom Keenlyside on sax, flute, and clarinet, Michael Creber on piano, Nino Di Pasquale on drums, and Brent Gubbels on bass—promises a lively mix of jazz energy and holiday cheer. Designed to lift spirits and kick off the festive season, the concert blends musical mastery with nostalgic charm.

The show is part of the Jazz at the Anvil series, which showcases exceptional Metro Vancouver musicians while building community appreciation for jazz and strengthening the local arts scene.

Tickets are now available, and music lovers are encouraged to secure their seats for an evening sure to brighten the season.
