🎨 Indigenous Brilliance Invites Community to Reflect and Create at New Year Art & Writing Circle

As a new year begins, Indigenous Brilliance is offering a meaningful space for reflection, creativity, and connection through its Indigenous Brilliance Art and Writing Circle, taking place on Saturday, January 24, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Wildfires Bookshop in New Westminster.

This gently guided gathering invites participants to explore writing and visual art practices rooted in themes of resilience, renewal, and resurgence. Designed for those aged 17 and older, the circle provides a supportive environment where creativity becomes a tool for navigating change and setting intentions for the year ahead.

Rather than focusing on productivity or performance, the session centres care, presence, and shared experience. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace, whether through words, images, or quiet reflection, while being held in community.

Hosted by Indigenous Brilliance, the event highlights the importance of Indigenous-led spaces for storytelling, expression, and collective grounding. The gathering is free to attend and welcomes anyone interested in creative expression, community connection, and entering the new year with intention.
