Looking for a Halloween adventure in New Westminster? The New Westminster Museum is inviting young explorers to dress up, grab a flashlight and embark on a spooky mission inside its galleries!

Halloween Fun at the Museum takes place Sunday, October 25, from 11:30 a.m. to noon at the New Westminster Museum Gallery inside Anvil Centre.

During this playful Halloween experience, participants will explore the museum by candlelight and become ghost hunters on a mission to save the galleries from mischievous spirits. The challenge is to search high and low, track down all the playful ghosts hiding throughout the museum and claim a special Halloween treat at the end.

With costumes encouraged and flashlights ready, the half-hour adventure offers a fun way for children and families to celebrate the spooky season while experiencing New Westminster’s local museum in a different light.

Registration costs $22, including tax, but the October 25 session is already fully booked. Families hoping to join the ghost hunt can still sign up for the waitlist through the City of New Westminster’s registration website.

If your little ones love spooky stories, mysterious discoveries and Halloween treats, this museum adventure could be worth keeping on your seasonal activity list!

Ready to rock this Halloween? New Westminster is gearing up for an evening of live music, costumes and community fun as the Epic Halloween Sip N’ Strum Fundraiser takes over Grand Commons at New Westminster Secondary School on Friday, October 30.

Running from 7 to 9:30 p.m., the event is presented by Rock the Block Society in partnership with Mechanics of Music. This interactive, band-led sing-along invites guests to join the music, whether they want to bring an instrument and play along, sing from the audience or simply enjoy the show.

No musical experience is needed, making it a welcoming night out for music lovers of all skill levels. Guests can also take part in a costume contest, visit a themed photo area and enjoy a silent auction, raffle prizes and a 50/50 draw.

Tickets cost $20, and each includes access to a digital event songbook. Food and drinks will be available for purchase, with a cash bar featured at the event.

Families are welcome, too! Costumes are encouraged but optional, and children under 12 can attend for free when accompanied by a responsible adult.

Beyond the Halloween festivities, the fundraiser supports a meaningful cause: proceeds will help Rock the Block Society deliver future community music programming.

Whether you're ready to sing your heart out or just soak up the spooky atmosphere, this New West fundraiser offers a fun way to celebrate Halloween while supporting local music initiatives.
