Holiday magic has arrived at Irving House Museum, where festive décor, music, and seasonal activities are welcoming visitors throughout December. The historic home is open every Saturday and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m. through December 21, offering a cozy and cheerful way to experience the season in one of New Westminster’s most beloved heritage sites.
Inside, the house is beautifully decorated for the holidays, showcasing classic seasonal touches that bring the historic space to life. Visitors can enjoy live music, take part in holiday craft activities, and explore the museum while soaking in the warm atmosphere created by the festive surroundings.
Perfect for families, history lovers, and anyone looking to slow down during the busy season, the holiday programming at Irving House blends tradition, creativity, and community spirit. Whether you’re visiting for the first time or returning as part of an annual tradition, the museum offers a welcoming space to celebrate the holidays and connect with New Westminster’s past.
A festive winter tradition returns to New Westminster as families are invited to enjoy the Light Up the Night Family Skate on Saturday, December 20, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Moody Park Arena. Hosted by the City of New Westminster, this all-ages event offers a joyful way for parents and children to spend quality time together during the holiday season.
The arena will be transformed with glowing holiday lights, creating a bright and welcoming atmosphere on the ice. Families can skate together, take part in fun games, and enjoy holiday-themed craft activities throughout the evening. A concession will be open, making it easy to warm up with snacks between laps around the rink.
This event is designed specifically as a family experience, encouraging adults and children to participate together. Admission is available through regular drop-in skating fees or an Active Pass.
With festive décor, lively energy, and plenty of winter cheer, Light Up the Night Family Skate promises a memorable evening of seasonal fun for New Westminster families.
