Something new just landed in Downtown New West — and it is a game changer for book lovers.
The New Westminster Public Library has launched a self serve library kiosk at the Anvil Centre, making it easier than ever to grab your next read while you are on the go.
This sleek new kiosk is stocked with popular, high demand titles, and it works just like a mini library. Simply scan your library card, open the kiosk, and borrow your items in seconds.
No lines, no wait — just quick, easy access to great books right in the heart of the city.
📍 Location: Anvil Centre, Downtown New Westminster
📚 How it works:
Use your library card → Open the kiosk → Borrow → Return at any NWPL location
Whether you are popping in between errands or discovering something new, this is all about making reading more accessible, convenient, and fun.
The City of New Westminster has launched its Energy Save New West 2026 Spring Campaign, giving homeowners a chance to improve energy efficiency while reducing long term costs.
Spring is an ideal time to make upgrades that can make homes more comfortable and affordable to run. Through this program, residents can access a range of rebates and incentives designed to support energy saving improvements.
Homeowners may be eligible for up to $5,000 for solar panels and up to $1,500 for battery storage. Additional rebates are available for upgrades such as windows, insulation, and heating systems, with total support reaching up to $21,000 through CleanBC and BC Hydro. Income qualified households may qualify for up to $48,400 in support.
For those unsure where to begin, the program offers a subsidized EnerGuide home evaluation for $75. This assessment provides a personalized plan to help identify the most effective upgrades for each home.
For New Westminster residents, the program offers a practical way to lower energy bills, improve home comfort, and contribute to a more sustainable community.
