The Boathouse Restaurant is set to close its New Westminster location on December 26, 2026, bringing an end to the restaurant brand’s presence in the city.

Located at 900 Quayside Drive, the waterfront restaurant has confirmed that its final day of operation will be December 26, following the expiration of its lease.

The closure follows the loss of several other Boathouse locations across the region. The brand’s White Rock and Kitsilano restaurants closed in September 2025, while the Port Moody location shut down in April 2026.

The New Westminster closure means the city will soon say goodbye to one of its waterfront dining destinations. Until its final day, the restaurant plans to continue serving guests while supporting employees through the transition.

The Boathouse’s closure is part of a broader series of changes for the restaurant brand, with new operators already lined up for at least two former locations. In Kitsilano, the Hawksworth Restaurant Group is expected to introduce a new concept, while Local Public Eatery is set to take over the former Port Moody space in 2027.

For New Westminster diners, there are still a few months to enjoy the restaurant before it closes its doors for good.
