Mark your calendars! On Thursday, September 18, 2025, the New Westminster Progressives (NWP) will take the stage at Metro Hall to reveal their official candidate for the 2026 mayoral race.
This announcement is more than just a name reveal—it’s the starting gun for a year of conversations, debates, and community visioning. The chosen candidate will set out their vision for the city, shaping discussions on key issues such as housing, transportation, public safety, and the local economy.

This is a free event, but donations are always appreciated.
Evening Agenda:
6:00 PM – Doors open
7:15 PM – Program begins
9:00 PM – Event ends
A cash bar will be available and light appetizers will be served. We encourage you to take transit; paid parking is available at Douglas College, New Westminster SkyTrain Station, and the Anvil Centre.
Please note: Metro Hall is a heritage building with no elevator and a few stairs at the entrance. If you require additional accessibility accommodations, please let organizers know.

This season brings the beloved Holiday Markets, where thousands of community members come to shop local, discover treasures, and support independent creators. By joining, you’ll:
🎨 Showcase your craft in a welcoming, community-driven setting
🤝 Connect with shoppers who truly value handmade goods
🌟 Build connections with fellow vendors and small businesses
🗓️ Applications are accepted on a rolling basis with a jury selection process—so the earlier you apply, the better your chances! Successful vendors will hear back within about two weeks.
Don’t wait—spots fill quickly, and this is your moment to be part of one of New West’s most celebrated markets.
