A major hiring event is coming back to New Westminster, opening doors for job seekers and employers alike.

MOSAIC’s 14th Annual Job Fair takes place on Tuesday, May 12 at the Anvil Centre, continuing its long standing role in connecting thousands of people with meaningful employment opportunities.

Now in its 14th year, the event brings together a wide range of employers committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion, alongside job seekers from entry level to experienced professionals.

📍 Local Impact

For New Westminster, this event is more than a job fair. It supports:

  • Local workforce development

  • Access to inclusive hiring opportunities

  • Stronger connections between businesses and talent

With over 3,000 candidates expected, the event also brings increased activity to the downtown core, supporting nearby businesses and services.

💬 What to Expect

Job seekers will have the opportunity to meet employers face to face, explore new career paths, and take meaningful steps forward in their careers.

Employers, in turn, gain access to a diverse and qualified talent pool, along with valuable networking opportunities.

📍 Anvil Centre, 777 Columbia Street
🗓 Tuesday, May 12, 2026
🕤 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Whether you are hiring or job hunting, this is one of the region’s most impactful career events — right here in New Westminster.

Visitors to the Queensborough Community Centre will notice some temporary changes later this month as work begins on repairs to the facility’s entrance bridge.

Starting May 11, the pedestrian bridge at the main entrance will close for construction as crews work to improve safety and accessibility in the area. Due to unique soil conditions in Queensborough, the bridge has gradually shifted over time, and the upgrades will help create a smoother and more accessible entrance for everyone.

The good news — the community centre will remain fully open throughout construction.

What Visitors Need to Know

  • Parking at the facility will remain open

  • Bus stops along Ewen Avenue will not be affected

  • Temporary accessible routes will be clearly marked

  • Routes will accommodate strollers and mobility aids

  • Staff will be available during busy periods to help visitors

Those arriving from the parking lot will be directed along a temporary pathway, while pedestrians coming from Ewen Avenue can continue using the existing walkway.

Construction is expected to run until May 29, though timelines may shift depending on weather and site conditions.

This work is part of a larger long term improvement plan for the area, with a full bridge renewal currently planned for 2027.
