The New Westminster Farmers Market is inviting members to take part in its Annual General Meeting on February 28, 2026, at 10 a.m.
The meeting will be held virtually and is open to all current members. The AGM provides an opportunity to review highlights from the 2025 season, participate in discussions about the market’s direction, and vote on key matters, including the election of new board members.
Organizers say the meeting is a meaningful way for members to help shape the future of the local market and support its continued growth in the community.
Those who are not yet members can join for $10 per year, giving them the opportunity to vote at the AGM and get more involved in supporting local vendors and food producers.
Membership details are available through the New West Farmers Market website.
Anvil Theatre will welcome the Dancers of Damelahamid on March 3 for a special Coastal Dance Festival All Ages Matinée designed to inspire youth and deepen understanding of Indigenous culture, dance, and storytelling.
The performance will be offered at two showtimes, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., creating an accessible opportunity for students, families, and community members to experience traditional and contemporary Indigenous performance.
The matinée opens with Squamish group Chesha7 iy lha mens, followed by the Dancers of Damelahamid presenting their renowned mask dances from the production Spirit and Tradition. The performance highlights powerful stories, ceremonial regalia, and cultural teachings shared through generations.
To support student attendance, the theatre is offering one complimentary chaperone ticket for every five students. School bookings can be made by calling Ticketpro at 1-888-655-9090.
More information is available at anviltheatre.ca/event/cdf-all-ages-matinee/.
