The New Westminster Police Department is investigating after audio equipment was stolen overnight from a seniors’ care community on Colborne Street. When staff arrived for work on the morning of August 9, they discovered one floor of the building had been ransacked and the community’s electronic music equipment had been abandoned on the street nearby.

Security footage captured two suspects attempting to push the equipment out through the front doors. While much of the property was later recovered, detectives are seeking help from the public to identify the individuals involved.

The first suspect is described as a man around 30 years old with brown shaved hair and a full tattoo sleeve on his right forearm. At the time, he was wearing a blue shirt, grey shorts, brown sandals, and carrying a red and black Toronto Raptors backpack.

The second suspect is described as a woman, also around 30 years old, with shoulder-length blonde hair and glasses. She was last seen wearing a green Adidas cap, grey patterned top with a pleated mini skirt, black and white wedge sneakers, and carrying a black crossbody purse.

Anyone who recognizes the suspects is urged to contact the New Westminster Police Department at 604-525-5411.
