New Westminster has launched a 24/7 Community Support Line—604-527-4502—as part of its Crises Response Pilot Project (CRPP). This single number connects residents to a range of local initiatives aimed at addressing the urgent and interconnected challenges of homelessness, mental health, and substance use.

Through the CRPP, the City is taking a comprehensive and compassionate approach by supporting people where they are and working to bring them inside. Programs under this initiative include:

  • The Community Liaison Officer (CLO) Program, which responds to day-to-day concerns like sheltering, blocked doorways, and open burning.

  • The Crisis Response Outreach Team (CRT Outreach), which helps individuals access food, shelter, health services, and identification.

  • A Biohazard Removal Program for downtown businesses to manage waste and safety concerns.

CRPP is guided by two long-term strategies: a Five-Year Prevention, Support and Transition Plan, and a Ten-Year Supportive Housing and Wrap-Around Services Plan, with the ultimate goal of reducing homelessness and improving community well-being.

Whether you're a resident, business owner, or someone seeking help, the One Number to Call provides direct access to trained staff who can assist or redirect your concern.

📞 Call 604-527-4502 anytime
📧 Email: [email protected] (Mon–Fri, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.)
