Got a leftover Halloween pumpkin? New Westminster firefighters have a smashing solution! The New Westminster Firefighters’ Charitable Society is bringing back its 3rd Annual Pumpkin Smash on Sunday, November 1, inviting families to enjoy a morning of post-Halloween fun at Glenbrook Fire Hall.
The highlight? Watching pumpkins take a spectacular 100-foot drop from the top of Tower 1 in a smashing send-off to the spooky season.
Taking place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Fire Hall 1, located at 1 East Sixth Avenue, the event promises more than flying pumpkins. Families can enjoy kids’ activities, creative face painting, warm beverages and a hot dog barbecue.
Visitors are encouraged to bring their own pumpkins and get ready for a memorable community gathering that combines Halloween leftovers with family-friendly entertainment.
Organized by the New Westminster Firefighters’ Charitable Society, the event also offers an opportunity for residents to connect with their local firefighting community. Card donations will be available for those who wish to contribute.
So before tossing that carved pumpkin away, give it one last dramatic moment in the spotlight. This November, New Westminster is getting ready to make a big splash — or rather, a big smash!
