🎶 Music, Memories, and Cake: Quayside Turns 10 This September 🎂 

Quayside Voices is marking a major milestone this fall as the vocal ensemble celebrates 10 years of music-making. The group is closing out its 10th season with a special anniversary show at Century House in New Westminster on Friday, September 12.

The evening will feature a mix of original music and songs from the past decade, accompanied by nostalgic flashbacks of photos and video highlights from the group’s journey. From performing in parkades to taking the stage at larger venues, Quayside has grown steadily over the years, and this event offers fans a chance to relive those moments together.

Guests can look forward to a lively evening of music, memories, and celebration — including cake to mark the occasion. While admission is free, donations are welcome to help support future performances.

Seating can be reserved through Eventbrite or at Century House, with support for the event provided by the City of New Westminster.

🎉 RiverFest 2025: Celebrate Our River in Style! 🌊 

Get ready, New Westminster — RiverFest 2025 is almost here! Hosted by the Fraser River Discovery Centre, this free festival is your chance to celebrate BC Rivers Day and World Rivers Day with a weekend full of fun, learning, and waterfront excitement.

🌿 What’s Happening?

• Saturday, Sept 20 → Start with walks & workshops! Family yoga, a guided quayside walk, and a horticulture tour connect you to the river’s incredible stories.

• Saturday, Sept 27 → The party really kicks off with the Family Fun Zone, hands-on art workshops, community exhibitors, and the Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade on the river. 🚤

• Sunday, Sept 28 → Keep the fun going! Board the historic Samson V, explore the Family Fun Zone, and visit the Vancouver Wooden Boat Society Open House. ⚓
