Get ready for one of Queensborough’s most beloved family events! The Annual Queensborough Children’s Festival is returning with a full day of free entertainment, hands-on activities, and community fun for all ages.

Hosted by the Queensborough Special Programs Committee (QSPC), the festival will transform 920 Ewen Avenue into a lively celebration filled with live performances, music, demonstrations, and interactive activities designed to keep kids smiling all day long.

Families can enjoy circus-style play experiences with the Vancouver Circus School, hop aboard adorable rideable electric pandas, explore activity zones, and browse the Young Entrepreneurs Marketplace, where local youth ages 6 to 14 will showcase and sell their own creative products.

Visitors can also enjoy food vendors, community booths, and cultural activities while connecting with neighbours and celebrating the vibrant Queensborough community. Admission and activities are completely free, making it a perfect outing for families looking to kick off summer with a day of fun and adventure.

Organizers also encourage attendees to bring a non-perishable food donation in support of Don't Go Hungry, helping local families in need.

Calling All Musicians, Dancers & Entertainers

Ready to take the stage this summer? Arts New West and New West Craft are inviting performers of all kinds to help bring energy, creativity, and entertainment to the New Westminster waterfront.

Applications are now open for solo performers, duos, and trios interested in performing during upcoming New West Craft market events along the boardwalk. Organizers are looking beyond musicians and welcome a wide range of talents, including spoken word artists, dancers, cultural performers, circus acts, variety artists, and interactive entertainers.

Selected performers will entertain visitors in a lively, family-friendly outdoor setting while showcasing their talents to the community. Participating artists will receive an artist fee, along with access to tent coverage and power on site.

Arts New West says it is especially eager to hear from emerging artists, local performers, and diverse creative voices looking for opportunities to share their work and connect with audiences.

Summer performance dates are available, and applications are now being accepted online.
