The holiday season is in full swing in Queensborough, and the Winter Market is back to help you kick off your festive shopping! On Saturday, December 6, the Queensborough Community Centre will be filled with handmade goods, creative crafts, and one-of-a-kind treasures from local makers.

From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., shoppers can browse a cheerful mix of seasonal items and unique finds—perfect for gift-giving or treating yourself. Admission is free, but buyers are encouraged to bring cash for easy shopping.

Local creators looking to showcase their work can still join in the fun. Tables are available for $25, making it a great opportunity to share your homemade goods with the community.

Whether you’re shopping, selling, or simply enjoying the festive atmosphere, the Winter Market is a cozy neighbourhood tradition you won’t want to miss

🕺 Future Flow Brings a High-Energy Youth Dance Battle to New West

Get ready for a surge of energy in Sapperton — Future Flow is taking over the Sapperton Pensioners Community Hall on December 6, bringing one of the most exciting youth street dance battles New Westminster has seen. Created by Next Move Dance Studio, this high-impact event gives young dancers their own stage to shine, build their credentials, and step confidently into the spotlight.

From hip hop and breaking to popping and waacking, Future Flow celebrates the foundations of street culture while empowering the next generation of artists. Throughout the day, dancers will compete in prelims, jump into cyphers, and face off in thrilling battle rounds. It’s not just about competition — it’s about mentorship, connection, and building a community where young dancers feel seen, inspired, and supported.

Participants will also have the chance to connect with an incredible lineup of professional dancers, including Jaja Vankova, Stray Curt, Muse, Trey, Natasha Gorrie, and Jeri “HAO 2.” Whether you're dancing or cheering from the sidelines, this event promises electrifying moments and unforgettable inspiration.

Future Flow runs 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and welcomes all ages.
