Looking for a unique way to celebrate New Westminster? Tourism New Westminster has unveiled a brand-new collection of collectible postcards featuring some of the city's most recognizable landmarks.

The latest series adds four new designs to the growing collection, offering residents and visitors a chance to take home a colourful reminder of the city's history, architecture, and community spirit. Whether you're a longtime local, a visitor, or a postcard enthusiast, the cards provide a fun way to share a little piece of New West with family and friends.

There are several ways to get your hands on the postcards. Residents can earn them through the free New West Pass, a digital rewards program that encourages people to explore local businesses, attractions, restaurants, and events. Tourism New Westminster will also be giving away postcards and prizes at community events throughout the summer, including Mechanics of Music Fest, Fridays on Front, Canada Day in Queen's Park, and the Hyack Summer Music & Fireworks Festival.

The postcards are also available through Tourism New Westminster's online shop, alongside other locally inspired souvenirs and gifts.

Last Chance to Secure Your Spot With the Royal City Hyacks

Aspiring athletes and cheerleaders still have time to join one of New Westminster’s most recognizable youth sports programs—but not much time.

The Royal City Hyacks are reminding families that registration for the Fall 2026 Football and Cheer season is filling quickly, with roster spots becoming increasingly limited across several divisions.

As one of New Westminster’s longest-running youth sports organizations, the Hyacks provide young athletes with opportunities to develop skills, build confidence, stay active, and represent their community on the field. The program also relies on local coaches, volunteers, and families who help create a strong sense of community and team spirit throughout the season.

With summer preparations and equipment fitting dates approaching, families are encouraged to register soon to avoid waitlists and secure a place before teams reach capacity.

The upcoming season promises another exciting year of football, cheer, teamwork, and Hyacks pride for youth across New Westminster.
