New Westminster residents can turn empty bottles into meaningful community support at the Rotary Community Bottle Drop, hosted by the Royal City Rotary Club, taking place on the second Saturday of every month.
The next bottle drop will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at Royal Towers, located at 166 Sixth Street. The drop-off area is under cover in the parkade, accessible off 6th Street, making it easy to participate rain or shine.
Proceeds from the bottle drop go directly toward Rotary community initiatives, supporting local programs and projects that make a positive impact across New Westminster. It’s a simple way for residents to recycle while giving back to the community.
Those interested in volunteering or partnering with the Rotary Bottle Drop are encouraged to reach out via email at [email protected].
By donating refundable containers, residents help Rotary continue its work of service, connection, and community care—one bottle at a time.
Shopping just got a whole lot more exciting at Royal City Centre Mall. The New Westminster shopping hub is hosting a $200 gift card giveaway, giving one lucky winner the chance to enjoy a full day of shopping, dining, and fun — and bring a friend along for the ride.
The prize includes $200 in Royal City Centre gift cards, which can be used at popular mall favourites like White Spot, Winners, A&W, Dollarama, and Shoppers Drug Mart. Whether it’s a meal out, a wardrobe refresh, or everyday essentials, the giveaway offers plenty of ways to treat yourself.
Entering is easy. Participants simply need to like the giveaway post, share it with friends, and comment by tagging the friend they’d bring along on their shopping spree.
The contest closes on January 5 at 12:00 p.m., with the winner announced shortly after on Royal City Centre’s social media stories.
It’s a simple way to start the new year with a little extra fun — and a lot of local shopping.
