📷️ Hands-On Evening of Photography Returns to New Westminster September 16

The New Westminster Photography Club is kicking off its second meeting of the season with an evening designed for creativity and collaboration. On Tuesday, September 16, photographers of all levels are invited to Centennial Lodge in Queen’s Park for a hands-on workshop focused on experimenting with light and technique.

Unlike a formal class, this event encourages participants to bring their own gear—cameras, tripods, flashes, LED panels, or even just a phone—and explore different lighting setups, camera angles, and creative props. Attendees will have the chance to experiment indoors and, weather permitting, step outside to capture macro shots in the rose garden or try their hand at environmental portraits.

The evening promises a collaborative atmosphere where members and newcomers alike can share ideas, test out fresh approaches, and see how lighting can transform an image. Doors open at 6:45 p.m. for a 7 p.m. start, with free parking available on-site. Non-members are welcome with a suggested $5 donation at the door.
