Holiday magic is getting a fairy-tale boost this season with a special ticket offer for Shrek The Musical, coming to Massey Theatre next spring. Royal City Musical Theatre will present the beloved production from April 17 to May 3, 2026, filling the New Westminster stage with adventure, comedy, and dazzling musical numbers.
To kick off the festive season, a limited-time holiday promotion is offering four tickets for the price of three—that’s four seats for $149 before tax and fees—making it a perfect gift for families, friends, or anyone who loves a good dose of happily-ever-after fun. The offer is available until December 24 using promo code SHREKMAS.
Based on the Oscar-winning DreamWorks film, this Tony Award-winning musical follows Shrek, Donkey, Fiona, and a cast of fairy-tale misfits on a heartwarming journey that celebrates courage, acceptance, and the beauty found in unexpected places. Packed with imaginative sets, bold costumes, and even a fire-breathing dragon, the show promises a memorable outing for audiences of all ages.
With ticket prices set to rise as seats fill, early buyers can secure the best value for this highly anticipated New Westminster production, directed by Chris Adams, choreographed by Tracey Power, and musically directed by Angus Kellett.
Francophone families in New Westminster are invited to a joyful seasonal celebration as Le Relais Francophone de la Colombie-Britannique hosts Noël pour les Petits Lutins Francophones on December 13, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. at Sapperton Pensioners Hall.
This festive afternoon brings young “little elves” together for holiday fun in French, offering a warm and welcoming space for children to enjoy seasonal activities, community connection, and cultural celebration. The in-person event, held at 318 Keary Street, highlights the growing francophone community in New West and provides families with an opportunity to share holiday traditions while meeting other local French-speaking parents and kids.
With 2.5 hours of programming designed especially for young children, the event promises a lively and memorable kickoff to the holiday season.
