Paint Your Own Masterpiece

Looking for a fun and relaxed way to spend your evening? Paint Nite is bringing its signature paint-and-sip experience to Browns Socialhouse Brewery District on Thursday, April 16 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

This beginner-friendly event invites guests to paint along with a local artist in a guided, step-by-step session — no experience required. All art supplies are included, and by the end of the night, you’ll have your own finished canvas to take home.

Whether you're planning a date night, girls’ night, or just a casual evening out, Paint Nite offers a creative and social atmosphere where you can unwind, get a little messy, and try something new.

Seating is first come, first served, so arriving early is recommended.

Step Into Nature with These New West Workshops

Looking to connect with nature in a deeper, more meaningful way? The Fraser River Discovery Centre is offering a series of hands-on adult workshops this spring, designed to immerse participants in local ecosystems and Indigenous knowledge.

On March 28, An Afternoon as an Ecologist invites participants to explore Mundy Park’s urban forest, learning how ecologists study and understand natural environments through real-world observation.

Then on April 18, the Indigenous Medicinal Plant Workshop offers a guided walk along the boardwalk, where participants will discover native and medicinal plants through storytelling and sensory experiences like touching, smelling, and tasting.

These workshops provide a unique opportunity to learn, explore, and reconnect with the natural world right here in New Westminster.
