Canadian cities may be playfully battling over who gets to “claim” rising star Hudson Williams, but here’s one piece of trivia New Westminster can proudly own: before the fame, there was spaghetti — right here in New West.
Long before red carpets, fan edits, and online buzz, Hudson Williams worked at the Old Spaghetti Factory in New Westminster. That iconic pre-fame chapter is now being celebrated with a fun local giveaway from Tourism New Westminster.
One lucky winner will receive:
$100 to the Old Spaghetti Factory
An I ❤️ New West merch bundle, including a tote bag, mug, pins, stickers, and postcards
Want to join the fun? Head to Instagram and visit @tourismnewwest to enter. Participants are invited to follow the account, like the giveaway post, and tag the person they’d take out for spaghetti at Hudson’s former workplace. Multiple entries are allowed.
It’s a lighthearted reminder that everyone’s story starts somewhere — and sometimes, that place is New Westminster, serving pasta and building character.
Because once you’ve worked a shift in New West… you’re always a New Westie. 🍝✨
Spring is almost here, and that means it’s time for Hyacks Youth Football and Cheer to hit the field once again. Registration for the Spring 2026 season is officially open, and spots are limited.
The spring program is all about building skills, confidence, and teamwork in a fun, supportive environment. It’s where young athletes sharpen fundamentals, grow their love of the game, and become part of the close-knit Hyacks community. Whether your child is new to football or cheer, or already proudly “bleeds orange,” spring is the perfect time to get involved.
Hyacks programs are known for selling out quickly, so families are encouraged to register early to avoid disappointment. With experienced coaches, a strong emphasis on development, and a welcoming team culture, the spring season is an excellent opportunity for kids to stay active, make friends, and gain confidence both on and off the field.
If you’ve been thinking about signing up, now’s the time — the countdown to spring starts here.
Registration is open now, and spots won’t last long.
