Looking to add a little more green to your yard this spring? The City of New Westminster’s Spring Tree Sale returns on Friday, March 13 at 10 a.m.
Held twice a year, the popular program gives New Westminster residents the opportunity to purchase up to two trees per household at a reduced cost, helping grow the city’s urban forest while beautifying local neighbourhoods.
Trees are sold online only, and demand is typically high, so residents are encouraged to visit the website early to secure their selections.
The initiative supports the City’s efforts to expand tree canopy coverage, improve air quality, and create greener, healthier communities.
Event Details
Date: Friday, March 13, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Organizer: City of New Westminster – Parks Services
Location: Online sale
The City of New Westminster is inviting residents to help support local programs and initiatives by joining one of its Grant Advisory Committees.
Community grants play an important role in helping local organizations bring programs, cultural initiatives, and community-building events to life. These grants contribute to a more vibrant, inclusive city by enhancing livability and supporting social equity.
Volunteer committee members help review grant applications and provide recommendations that guide funding decisions. The City is currently recruiting members for two committees:
Community Livability and Social Equity
Social and Cultural Vibrancy
Residents who are passionate about strengthening their community and supporting meaningful local projects are encouraged to apply.
Applications close Sunday, March 22, 2026.
