Key West Ford
Key West Ford: A True Neighbour Committed to Community and Innovation
When you visit Key West Ford, you’re not just stepping onto a car lot—you’re connecting with a local business that prides itself on being a good neighbour. Established in 1985, Key West Ford has been part of the New Westminster community for decades, growing alongside the city while staying true to its independent, family-owned roots. Located right here at Stewardson Way and Third Avenue, Key West Ford is a standout in more ways than one. Unlike many dealerships today that are part of large corporate chains, Key West Ford offers a personal, community-first approach that sets them apart.
Ross wears many hats at Key West Ford, from managing marketing and events to serving as their dedicated electric vehicle (EV) product specialist—a role that reflects the dealership’s forward-thinking approach. “We are the only Ford dealership in Canada with a specialist dedicated to helping customers navigate EV ownership,” Ross shares with pride. “We’re here to answer every question, help you find the right fit for your lifestyle, and make sure your EV ownership experience is a happy and successful one.”
What surprises many first-time visitors is that this dealership offers more than just competitive prices on familiar favourites like the Ford F-150—Canada’s best-selling vehicle for over 50 years. Key West Ford also provides flexible in-house leasing and financing options, particularly helpful for newcomers to Canada or individuals with credit challenges. This local business looks at the whole picture, offering customers the support they need to secure reliable transportation without the red tape often found at larger operations.
Key West Ford’s commitment to community shines through in their longstanding sponsorship of events like the Rotary Pot of Gold Golf Tournament. “We’ve been supporting the tournament for years because the Rotary Club’s values align so well with ours,” says Ross. “They give back to charities like the Salvation Army and the Lower Mainland Purpose Society. We want to be part of that positive impact.”
This year’s tournament will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the scenic Mayfair Lakes Golf & Country Club in Richmond. Whether you’re swinging clubs or just soaking in the atmosphere, there’s something for everyone:
🎯 FOUR Hole-in-One contests—each offering a chance to win up to $50,000 in prizes (cash, a new car, and more)
🏆 Competitions for longest drive, straightest drive, and closest to the pin
🍴 Delicious food and refreshments are served throughout the course
🎉 A buffet dinner and awards banquet to close the day
💎 And yes, someone once won a $15,000 diamond ring—so it really can happen!
Can’t attend the tournament? There’s still a way to take part—the online auction from July 05 to July 27, 2025, lets anyone in the community bid on exciting items from the comfort of home.
When you spot Key West Ford at a local event, you’ll often see their electric vehicles doing more than just looking good—they’re powering stages, running sound systems, and eliminating the need for noisy, polluting generators. It’s just one more way this dealership combines innovation with a deep care for the community and the environment.
And don’t worry—if you’re curious about their EVs or want to chat about your favourite Ford memories, the Key West Ford team encourages you to stop by their booth. “We love connecting with people at these events in a relaxed, no-pressure environment. It’s all about good neighbours supporting each other,” Ross explains.
Beyond the showroom, Key West Ford continues to make life easier for local customers. Need service? They’ll pick up your vehicle from your driveway and bring it back once the job is done. Prefer to drop it off yourself? They’ll shuttle you wherever you need to go—or you can enjoy a coffee in their lounge while you wait.

Meet Jake in our service department, he takes good care of the vehicles in the shop!
In a world of big-box dealerships, Key West Ford remains small enough to care and big enough to deliver. Next time you’re thinking about a new vehicle or need service for your current ride, consider visiting this true community partner—you might just find the personal touch you’ve been looking for.
Supporting local businesses means supporting the heart of our community!

In the early hours of June 17, police responded to a break and enter incident in the 800 block of Quayside Drive. Officers arrived around 4:00 AM and discovered that a business in the area had been forcibly entered.
Following a thorough search of the surrounding area, officers located a man walking along the boardwalk. He was taken into custody, and stolen property from the business was recovered at the time of the arrest. The suspect is currently being held pending a court appearance, and charges are expected to be recommended to Crown Counsel.
Authorities are now investigating whether this individual may be connected to a series of similar break and enter incidents in the area. The Street Crime Unit has taken over the ongoing investigations.
Police are urging the public to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity that might indicate a break-in in progress. Immediate reports can help officers respond swiftly to potential crimes in action.
