Still looking for a fun, low-key way to wrap up your weekend? Sunday Funday BINGO is happening tomorrow night, February 15, and it’s the perfect excuse to get out, connect with neighbours, and enjoy a relaxed community evening.
Hosted by the North Fraser Métis Association, this adults-only bingo night starts at 6:30 pm at 75 E. 6th Avenue. Expect classic bingo fun, a welcoming vibe, and a 50/50 draw, all while supporting a registered charitable organization that serves the local community.
Admission is free, with game combos starting at just $10, making it an easy and affordable night out after Valentine’s weekend festivities. Bring a friend, meet someone new, and make it a true Sunday Funday—where every card played helps give back.
Looking for a relaxed, creative way to spend a winter evening? Join local poet Alan Hill for Word Play, a casual and welcoming night of writing, creativity, and connection.
Taking place on Thursday, February 19, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at təməsew̓txʷ, this drop-in event invites writers of all experience levels to play with words in a low-pressure, supportive environment. Whether you prefer pen and paper or typing on your phone, all you need to bring is your favourite writing tool and an open mind.
Alan Hill will offer a variety of fun, accessible writing prompts to help spark ideas and get words flowing. You’re welcome to share your work—or simply write quietly and enjoy the creative energy in the room.
Best of all, Word Play is free, requires no registration, and is open to everyone. Presented in partnership with the Royal City Literary Arts Society, it’s a perfect opportunity to connect with New Westminster’s vibrant literary community.
