Ready to see the world of bees from a whole new perspective—and taste it, too? The Fraser River Discovery Centre is inviting curious foodies and bee enthusiasts to “Tasting Your Way Through the Hive” on Saturday, October 17, for a hands-on journey into the fascinating world of bees and their incredible hive products.
From 10–11:30 a.m., participants will explore the benefits and purpose of honey, propolis and pollen, learning how and why bees create these remarkable products and the important role bees play in the environment. The sweetest part? You’ll get to enjoy an extensive honey tasting and discover how different honeys can vary in flavour.
The workshop is led by Kristen Penhall, a Cornell-trained Master Beekeeper who is also working toward Apprentice-level Master Melittologist certification.
Designed for participants 16 and older, the workshop takes place at the Fraser River Discovery Centre, 788 Quayside Drive. Early-bird tickets are $38, with general admission at $43.
Come for the bees, stay for the honey! 🐝🍯
