Classic Hits Take the Stage in New Westminster

Music fans in New Westminster can take a trip back in time when the Legends Show hits the stage at Massey Theatre on Saturday, February 28 at 7 p.m.

Presented by Paquette Productions, the live concert experience features high-energy tribute performances to four music icons — Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, Roy Orbison, and Elvis Presley — backed by the Rockin’ Royals Band.

The show highlights the timeless catalogue of Hank Williams, including classics such as Hey Good Lookin’ and Your Cheating Heart. Audiences will also hear beloved Patsy Cline hits that defined an era of country music, alongside Roy Orbison favourites like Pretty Woman and Crying.

Closing out the evening is a dynamic tribute to Elvis Presley, celebrating the King of Rock and Roll with well-known hits including Jailhouse Rock, Suspicious Minds, and Can’t Help Falling in Love.

The performance takes place at Massey Theatre, 735 Eighth Avenue. Tickets are available through event organizers.

Celebrate local youth—nominate today

Inspiring young people in New Westminster are once again being recognized for the difference they make in the community.

Nominations are now open for the New West Youth Awards, celebrating youth ages 13 to 18 who are creating positive change through Arts and Culture, Leadership, Community Service, Athletics and Sportsmanship, and Sustainability.

The awards also shine a light on an Adult Ally or organization that goes above and beyond to support and empower young people.

Nominations close March 15, and recipients will be honoured at an in-person ceremony on May 7, held during BC Youth Week.

Organizers encourage residents to nominate a young person — or a supportive mentor — who is helping shape a stronger, more connected New Westminster.
