Looking for a magical way to ease into the winter season? Connect and Create is returning to Queen’s Park, inviting residents to enjoy a cozy, creative night under the glowing lights of The Habitat. Presented by BCLC and Starlight Casino New Westminster, this outdoor winter gathering blends art, ambiance, and community in the dreamiest way.

Set to a backdrop of soft jazz, guests can unwind with complimentary nibbles, sip on wine or beer available for purchase, and craft beautiful nature-inspired pieces beside crackling fire pits. The evening features two creative activities — a self-guided wine charm station and a guided workshop to build your own winter greenery centerpiece. Guests can choose their preferred session time during registration.

It’s the perfect chance to gather friends, wrap up warm, and enjoy a relaxed winter evening filled with creativity and connection.

Parol season is back — and so is one of The Cove’s most loved holiday workshops! After selling out last year, Parol Making Night returns with two festive dates: November 28 and December 5, giving even more families and friends the chance to create their own beautiful Filipino Christmas lanterns.

Set inside The Cove’s cozy, welcoming space, this workshop blends creativity and culture in the most heartwarming way. Guests will craft their own star-shaped parol, a traditional Filipino symbol of hope, light, and the Christmas spirit. Along the way, participants will learn about the history and meaning behind this cherished holiday ornament — all while enjoying light refreshments, music, and a relaxed, festive atmosphere.

Each ticket includes a complete parol kit with all materials, making it beginner-friendly and perfect for adults, teens, or families looking to add a handmade touch of Filipino heritage to the season. With early bird pricing and a popular 2-for-1 Bestie Deal, spots are expected to fill quickly.
