🌟 Get Ready to Sparkle: Fireworks Rules for a Bright Halloween 🎃 

Halloween is just around the corner — and if you’re planning to light up the night with fireworks, there are a few tricks and tips to keep in mind before the treats begin!

Residents can enjoy fireworks on the evening of October 31, but they must follow a few simple rules to keep celebrations safe and fun. Fireworks can only be set off by adults and must be done on private property. You can have fireworks in your possession between October 28 and 31, giving you just enough time to prepare for your spooky display.

If your Halloween plans include something a little more spectacular, like high-hazard fireworks, you’ll need to grab a City permit before the big night.

To make sure your celebration goes off without a scare, the City and Natural Resources Canada are encouraging everyone to brush up on fireworks safety tips and watch their Halloween fireworks safety video. With the right precautions, your night can sparkle safely under the autumn sky.

🎃 Family-Friendly Pumpkin Carving Returns to Queen’s Park

Grab your pumpkins and your best spooky smiles — the Harvest Workshop: Pumpkin Carving is back at Queen’s Park Habitat this Friday, October 24! 🍁✨

Join in for a cozy evening packed with pumpkin carving, festive crafts, and tasty fall treats. Whether you’re a first-time carver or a seasoned Halloween artist, this workshop is the perfect way to kick off the spooky season! 👻

🕔 Session Times:

• 5:00 – 6:30 PM 🕯 (Barcode: 241221)

• 7:00 – 8:30 PM 🌙 (Barcode: 241222)

🌽 What to Bring:

• Dress for the weather (things might get a little messy!)

• Costumes are highly encouraged 🧙‍♀️
